Why
e-Global?
eGlobal Trade Sources is the newest in the series of
websites providing access to buyers and sellers to buy and
sell products around the globe. eGlobal is, however,
different from other websites. We have our focus on the
present and future business opportunities in the region
comprising Pakistan, Afghanistan and the Commonwealth of
Independent States (CIS) for dynamic, progressive and growth-oriented
entrepreneurs around the globe.
Pakistan is the
prospective gateway to the consumer market of over 400
million* people in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Commonwealth
of Independent States (CIS) with estimated gross domestic product of over
US$600 billion*. The disintegration of the USSR in
1991 gave birth to 15 independent states, commonly known
as Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Eleven of these states formed
the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) including the
Russian Federation-the largest of the fifteen states.
Pakistan is located in
the Western part of South Asia. It shares its borders with
Afghanistan in the north, Iran in the west, China in the
northeast, India in the east and southeast. The Arabian
Sea lies in the south. It has land route access to the
Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) via Afghanistan and Iran. The
under-construction Gawadar Port in the Balochistan
Province of Pakistan will further bolster the trade among
Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Commonwealth of Independent
States (CIS) and
China in particular and the rest of the world in general.
Pakistan has no trade
barriers with its adjoining states. People come, buy and
take with them goods from the local market or place their
orders with the local suppliers for shipment to their home
countries. So, it is not only the domestic market of
Pakistan that counts but also the foreign buying from the
suppliers in Pakistan that should be of interest to the
international marketers. Pakistan thus provides access to
Afghanistan and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
